Over the past day, the police detained about 700 people during the protest actions, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. Thus, the number of people detained in Belarus since the election day is more than 6,700 people.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that “the riots in the country have lost their mass character, but the level of aggression towards law enforcement officers remains high.” In total, as a result of unlawful actions on 9-13 August, 103 law enforcement officers were injured, of which 28 were hospitalized.
